GENEVA,July4(Xinhua)--Duringtheongoing53rdsessionoftheUnitedNations(UN)HumanRightsCouncil,theChinaSocietyforHumanRightsStudiesonMondayheldasideeventatwhichexpertsdetailedtheconceptandpracticesofhumanrightsinChina,atthePalaisdesNationshere.

WangYanwen,deputysecretary-generalofthehumanrightsorganization,saidinheropeningaddressthatglobalhumanrightsgovernanceshouldevolvetowardsamorefair,just,reasonable,andinclusivedirection.

Onhumanrightseducation,ZhangWei,executivevicepresidentoftheInstituteofHumanRightsattheChinaUniversityofPoliticalScienceandLaw,underlinedtheimportancetheChinesegovernmentattachestoit.

InthefourNationalHumanRightsActionPlans,therearededicatedchaptersonhumanrightseducationandresearch,whichproposespecificmeasurestopromotethecontinuousdevelopmentofhumanrightseducation,Zhangsaidattheevent.

Sofar,Chinahasestablishedhumanrightseducationandtrainingbasesin14universities.Accordingtothearrangementsofthefourthplan,theChinesegovernmentwillsupporttheestablishmentofnationalhumanrightsresearchinstitutionsintheChineseAcademyofSocialSciencesandPartyschoolsby2025.Threenewresearchbaseswillbesetupaswell.

LiLiang,ascholarfromtheSchoolofPoliticsandInternationalRelationsofLanzhouUniversity,saidXinjiang"smodernizationdrivehasacceleratedagainsince2010.

Aslewofmeasurespromotingethnicintegrationandde-radicalizationwereimplemented,leadingtoaprofoundideologicalliberationofwomeninXinjiang,Lisaid.Colorfuldresses,jeansandsuitshavemadeacomebackonthestreetsofsmalltownsandvillagesthere,ignitingagreatresurgenceofvitalityamongwomenintheregion.

PeopleofallethnicgroupsinXinjianghavethefreedomtochoosetheirprofessions.Therightsoflaborersfromallethnicgroups,suchastherighttofairremuneration,therighttorestandvacation,therighttolaborsafetyandhealthprotection,andtherighttosocialsecurityandwelfare,areallprotectedbylaw,theprofessorsaid.

InmodernChinesehistory,thecentralgovernmenthasalwaysexercisedsovereigntyandhadjurisdictionoverTibet.

HostileWesternforcesthatadvocate"Tibetanindependence"disregardthedevelopmenthistoryofallChineseethnicgroups,includingtheTibetanpeople.Theirpurposeisnothingmorethantoconfusethepublic,infiltrateandundermineChina"snationalunity,andhinderChina"sdevelopmentundertheguiseofethnicseparatism,theresearchersaid.
